Parental leave, reduced working hours, or other absence
The employer can offer the bike benefit to an employee on leave and deduct the taxable value payments from the employee's salary either in advance or retrospectively. Vapaus does not take responsibility for the employer's decisions in the situations mentioned above.
Please note, Vapaus cannot pause the leasing contract. The leasing contract remains active until the employee notifies their willingness to redeem or return the benefit bike.
The employee can submit the redemption or return notification directly from their Vapaus user account!
Returns in the middle of the leasing period are only possible if the contract has active cancellation coverage.

Layoff
During a layoff, the employee is not entitled to benefits, such as the benefit bike, unless otherwise agreed with the employer. Please always verify this matter directly with your employer and check with the Tax Administration via vero.fi.
In the event of a layoff, the employee should either redeem or return the benefit bike.
