If your employment with your current employer ends during the leasing period, you have the following options:
The benefit bike can be transferred to a new employer's existing Vapaus or Oomi Fillari -benefit with the new employer's consent.
This requires that your new employer either already has a contract with Vapaus or signs one.The benefit bike can be transferred from Vapaus to an employer, who offers the bike benefit through another leasing company.
The benefit bike can be transferred to a colleague working in the same company with written consent from both parties.
👉 Initiate the transfer via the Benefit Bike Transfer -form at least 1 month before the intended transfer date.
❗️The government has decided that new agreements made on or after 24.4.2025, will no longer be tax-exempt starting from 1.1.2026.
If the employee and employer agree to transfer the benefit bike to another party during the leasing period, the change will be considered a new benefit, which is taxable based on its full market value.
You can redeem the bike.
👉 You can start your bike's redemption process through your Vapaus UserApp! You can choose to pay immediately or later. After the payment, the ownership of the bike is transferred to you, and a deed of sale is sent.You can return the bike to Vapaus.
If your employer provides cancellation coverage or you have purchased it yourself, you can return the bike by paying the cancellation fee (+possible delivery fees). You'll find the amount of cancellation fees in your benefit bike guideline. You can also choose to redeem either some or all of your accessories.
