You can redeem your bike at the end of the leasing period.
At the end of your leasing contract, you have a choice: redeem the bike and own it, or return it to Vapaus. Here's what you need to know about redemption.
What you'll pay
The redemption price depends on your employer's benefit bike guideline and the length of your lease, so check the residual value from your contract through you Vapaus account.
When you can start the redemption process
You can start the end-of-lease redemption process a month before your contract ends.
When you'll pay: You'll receive an invoice latest 2 weeks before your contract ends.
Ordering a new bike: You can order a new bike after your current contract has ended. You can place a new order the day after your current contract ends.
What about your maintenance budget?
If you've used more maintenance budget than you've accumulated during your lease, the difference will be added to your final redemption invoice.
Any unused maintenance budget will be lost — you can't carry it forward or get it refunded.
After you pay
Once you pay the redemption invoice and your contract end date passes, you'll automatically receive a deed of sale showing you own the bike.
