Employees look up their company specific terms and conditions of their bike benefit in the bike benefit guideline. These terms are binding also for us when providing the service.
Even though we offer the possibility to get bikes beyond the defined maximum contract value per plan by paying a downpayment, it does not apply to all companies as it requires the permission of the employer.

As the bike benefit is provided by your employer, they have the final say regarding the terms offered to you. It is important to note that the employer also carries some risk with bikes exceeding the maximum value, as they will be liable for any costs that the employee cannot cover.
Bikes beyond the maximum value that are acquired by paying a downpayment do not always have cancellation coverage and must be redeemed if the lease ends. Additionally, these bikes are only insured up to the maximum contract value. This means these bike leases are less flexible and carry more risk if circumstances change.

Employer: Now there is an opportunity to update the contract made before May 2023 to the renewed service model, where every benefit bike contract includes cancellation coverage, which also enables the return of bicycles paid with a down payment to Vapauds without the risk that the bicycle will remain in the employee's/employer's account, even if life situations change or if the bicycle is still wanted to be changed later.
