Bike redemption in the end of leasing period

Benefit bike can always be redeemed in the end of leasing period.

At the end of your leasing agreement, you can redeem your benefit bike for a set percentage of your total purchasing value, depending on the service package your employer has chosen. Remember to check your employer's Benefit Bike guide 😘

Month before your leasing period ends, you will always receive email reminder from Vapaus about benefit bike redemption and return. Email reminder includes redemption price of your benefit bike. You can also request redemption value directly from Vapaus customer service. 

💡Ordering a new Benefit bike is not possible until the old benefit bike leasing contract has ended.

Redemption values at the end of the leasing period vary between 1-32,5%, depending on the scope of the benefit bike service offered by your employer.

💡Employers who have started offering the benefit bike service from the fall of 2023 onwards (Starter, Pro & Enterprise) are more likely to have a redemption price of 1% of the original value of the bike package at the end of the leasing period.

💡Has the benefit bike service been started to be offered by your employer in 2022? The redemption percentage at the end of the leasing period is more likely to be 5% of the original purchase price of the bike package.

💡Did you acquire your benefit bike in 2021? The redemption percentage at the end of the leasing period is more likely to be 10-32.5% of the original purchase price of the bike package. You may receive additional discounts as described in your terms and conditions. Always check your employer's benefit bicycle guide and the terms of the benefit bike service from your Vapaus user account.

When you want to redeem your bike at the end of the contract period, you must start the redemption process through your user account:

💡How to start the redemption process?

1. Log in to your user account
2. In your user account, you can find your bicycle contract under the MY BIKES -tab
3. Click to open your benefit bike contract 👉 then click REDEEM BIKE
4. The system guides you forward with redemption instructions.
5. You can start redeeming the employee bicycle at the end of the contract period no earlier than the 21st day of the month preceding the end month and no later than the last day of the contract. If you follow these dates, the system can recognize that your redemption will take place at the end of the season and calculate the redemption price for you correctly.   💡NOTE! If you start the process too early, your leasing contract will end before the last day of the season, and in that case the redemption price will also be slightly higher.
6. The system automatically calculates the redemption price for you and creates an invoice to be paid to your user account. (Payment methods)
7. If you wish, you can pay the redemption fee immediately or choose an invoice as the payment method. (Please note that the invoice must be paid by the due date or the redemption process will be canceled automatically, it is not possible to get more payment time for the invoice.)
8. After you have successfully paid the invoice by the due date, you will receive the deed of sale on the last day of the contract in your user account to your primary email address. 
   If your employer changes, please remember to update the primary email address in your user account to a personal email address 💡

💡  Important note! At the end of the contract period, you can start redeeming the employee bicycle on the 21st day of the month before the end of the contract at the earliest and on the last day of the contract at the latest. If you follow these dates, the system can recognize that your redemption will take place at the end of the season and calculate the redemption price for you correctly. NOTE! If you start the process too early, your leasing contract will end before the last day of the season, and in that case the redemption price will also be slightly higher.
