The Vapaus bike benefit adapts to different life situations. We aim to make sure that any changes are straightforward and hassle-free for employers.
Terminating a Contract
When an employee leaves, the responsibility for reporting lies with the employee. They can initiate the process in their own portal. The employer receives an email notification and can track the status in the Admin Portal.
Deadlines: Early terminations are always processed for the last day of the month. Vapaus should be notified by the 20th day of the current month so we are able to ensure bike contract will be finalized on time.
Options: The employee can either redeem the bike (fastest administratively) or return it (cancellation fee typically €264 + logistics (check the exact amount from company bicycle policy).
Long Absences
As a general guideline, for absences longer than 3 months (e.g., study leave), the contract should either be terminated or the employee should redeem the bike. If pay is suspended, the employer and employee can agree on collecting payments either in advance or retroactively.
Security in Case of Damage
All contracts include comprehensive insurance with no age deductions. The deductible is typically €240 per claim. This ensures peace of mind throughout the entire contract term.
