Can be used for regular service and repairs.
Your benefit bike can include a monthly maintenance budget for you to use for bike service and repairs. Here's how it works.
What maintenance budget covers
- First service and tune-ups
- Annual maintenance checks
- Replacement of worn parts (tires, brake pads, chains, etc.)
- Spare parts at partner shops
- Repairs due to normal wear and tear
Maintenance budget does not cover:
- Accidental damage or crashes (use insurance instead)
- Parts that the manufacturer covers under warranty
- New or additional components beyond normal wear (i.e. extra chain)
Maintenance budget options
You can choose based on how much you ride:
- €0/month: You are responsible for any repairs straight out of your pocket
- €12/month: Light cycling (under 500 km/year)
- €16/month: Moderate cycling (500–1,000 km/year)
- €20/month: Heavy cycling (1,000+ km/year)
The higher your maintenance budget, the more you can spend on bike care and repairs.
How to use it
- Go to any Vapaus partner shop or outside of the partner network – the shop must be able to invoice Vapaus
- The shop bills your maintenance budget directly to Vapaus
- You don't pay out of pocket
If you have no maintenance budget in your contract, you pay the shop directly.
What happens to unused budget?
During your contract: Budget rolls over month to month — use it anytime before your contract ends.
At the end of your contract: Any unused budget is lost. You can't carry it forward or get refunded.
If you overspend: Any amount over your accumulated budget will be charged to you (added to your redemption or return invoice).
Important: Budget cannot be added later
You can only select a maintenance budget when you first order your bike and accept your contract. You cannot add it later to an active contract.
