The employee savings are a result of the interaction between your salary, the taxable value, and your tax rate.
💰You will save more if:
1) the taxable value of your bike package is closer to € 100 /month
2) your tax rate is high- If you are offered a benefit bike as part of your salary your gross salary (before taxes) will decrease by the taxable value of the bike package (e.g. € 100/month)
- At the same time, you will pay less taxes, as your gross salary decreases (usually € 30 - 50 less)
- Because you save on taxes your net salary will typically only decrease by around € 60, this means you pay less than the taxable value for your bike /per month
