Bike redemption in the middle of the leasing period

Benefit bike can always be redeemed in the middle of leasing period.

You can end your lease prematurely. This can happen for a multitude of reasons such as changing employers or moving abroad, and you may want to choose to purchase your bike cash instead of returning it to us.

💡The price is always calculated for the last day of the month. Important note! Termination of the contract in the middle of the leasing period must always be announced no later than the 20th day of the desired termination month so that the contract can be terminated on the last day of the chosen month.

💡Ordering a new Benefit bike is not possible until the old benefit bike leasing contract has ended.

💰The value is calculated as follows:

Let's take the example of a €2.000 bike package.

• We first calculate the number of months during which your contract has been active
  • E.g.: if your bike was delivered on 01.01. and you end your contract on 31.08, the lease duration is 8 months
• From there we then calculate the total amount of leasing payments you have made
  • Pro-plan example: your taxable value is 100€/month (= the monthly share of your salary allocated to the bike benefit), and the share of the bike package is approx. 80€ and the share of other services (such as insurance and theft protection, overcompensation and financing costs) is approx. 20€. After a lease of 8 months, you will have paid a total of 80€ x 8 ≈ €640 off your bike package's value
    • The base for your redemption price is therefore 2.000 - 640 ≈ 1 360€
    • To which we add a service fee of €36,44 (VAT 25,5%)

Total redemption price on 31.08. in ≈ 1360€ (this is an estimate)

When you want to redeem your bike in the middle of the contract period, you should start the redemption process through your user account:

💡How to start the redemption process?

1. Log in to your user account
2. In your user account, you can find your bicycle contract under the MY BIKES -tab
3. Click to open your benefit bike contract 👉 then click CANCEL CONTRACT and choose REDEEM BIKE
4. The system guides you forward with redemption instructions.
5. You have until the 20th of each month to start the redemption process for the last day of the active month. If you start the redemption process on the 21st of the active month 👉 your contract will be terminated on the last day of the following month. You cannot start the redemption process earlier than 1 month in advance.
6. The system automatically calculates the redemption price for you and creates an invoice to be paid to your user account. (Payment methods)
7. If you wish, you can pay the redemption fee immediately or choose an invoice as the payment method. (Please note that the invoice must be paid by the due date or the redemption process will be canceled automatically, Payment methods).
8. After you have successfully paid the invoice by the due date, you will receive the deed of sale on the last day of the contract in your user account to your primary email address. If your employment ends, please remember to update the primary email address in your user account to a personal email address 💡
