How do I get a benefit bike?

Make sure from your employer that you are entitled to a benefit bike, after which you can start ordering the bike of your dreams.

1. Start by creating Vapaus user account  by using your work email address. Detailed instructions for registration, here.
2. Once you have created your user account credentials, the system will guide you through the registration process. You can identify yourself by confirming with your work e-mail address or company business ID, that you are entitled to the bicycle benefit offered by your employer. Your employer accepts your right to a bicycle benefit in our system.
3. Confirm your identity with secure identification with bank credentials. The system guides you through all the steps of the confirmations. After completing all the confirmations, you are ready to order the bike.

   3. Vapaus international partner stores based in EU. Vapaus customer service handles the benefit bike leasing contract creation and possibly even the order for you. 5. Make sure your chosen bike fits into the frames set by your employer with our Calculator 
   • You can find the frames set by your employer in your employer’s benefit bike guidelines.
   • Check the instructions for e.g. the maximum price of the bike allowed, the minimum and maximum length of the contract period and whether your contract includes cancellation coverage.
   • Please note that the accessories must be benefit bike accessories approved by the Finnish tax authorities.
     
     

BIKE ORDER, DELIVERY AND RECEIVING

Whether you do business with our physical- or online store -partner store, or through Vapaus Precycled.io online store, you must have a Vapaus user account created and you must have active approved bike benefit from your employer so the purchase of a bicycle is allowed.

When you have placed an order request from the purchase location of your choice (list above):

1. You will receive a summary of your pre-order and order confirmation as well as instructions for accepting your bike order in the application to the e-mail address you provided.
2. Log in to your Vapaus user account, check and accept the leasing agreement and the terms of use of the service and your employer's employee bicycle manual.
3. By confirming the pre-order, you accept the terms of the service and commit to the bike contract, and no further changes can be made to the contract afterwards.
4. Please note,
   • Our partner stores may have handling/delivery costs that are not dependent on Vapaus. Please confirm the total price of your bike with delivery directly from the partner. These costs are included directly in the tax value of the bike package.
   • Online store orders may include additional costs related to delivery, such as delivery fees and the bike installation fee, which will be notified to you separately in connection with the service. These costs are included directly in the tax value of the bike package.
5. Bike delivery
   • If you order your bike from a partner store, the partner will inform you about the delivery schedule when ordering. In the best case, you can get your bike with you the same day 😉
   • If you order your bike from the online store with the help of our customer service, you will receive a preliminary delivery estimate from us and we will provide you with an order tracking link when the bike has left for transport from the online store of your choice.
6. Receiving the bike
   
   • When you receive the bike, always check that the bike and its equipment are as ordered and that the bike is properly assembled. All defects must be reported immediately, but within 3 days of receipt of the bike, to Vapaus Customer Service.
